Misses (Lady Butterfly), 2004

print on diboard, 120 x 40 cm

Misses is a direct reference and the pendant to the wire sculpture Mister. The work strongly represents my interest for the doubling and the hermetical multiplification,
by taking the same and putting it into a new context that, in essence, consists of the same, an essence, if you like it, aswell.

The work shows a press foto of a murdered woman, her body just dumped somewhere in the woods. What puzzles me is that people first are drawn to the picture, as it
shows a moment of absolute beauty and get remorseful, when they discover that it is a dead body. For i am convinced that this knowledge does not make the aspect of
beauty dissapear.
